haha!!!!....back from shanghai!!!!!!...fully satisfying in both work and shopping!!!!!!..haha...first talk about work first..worked at this school....we had to refurbish one room to become a library...then also must clean up the staircase....for the library...the conditions of the wall is super bad...so we needed to clean the walls of fungi, cobwebs and spiders...plaster and cement the balls...paint the base paint, a mural..and decorate the rest of the library..piece the furniture parts that we bought from ikea...sort out hundreds of books..and clear up..then the staircase walls had to be cleared of algae and plastered and cemented and repainted...but it was fun working there...cos super windy!!..plus there is a big lettuce farmland just next to the school..and the school serves great lunches!....haha....on our last day...they actually cooked a ten course meal for us..and the principal's wife actually woke up in the middle of the night to make dumplings for us..cos the next day is duan wu jie...so nice right??!!...and for the six days that we worked there..i actually survived with a dog under our table!!!...haha!!..i even fed her some food...and we saw her puppies!!...very cute!!!..they looked like soft toys la!!...then we were like saying how irresponsible the father was to abandon the mother and the puppies..then on the last day...we actually saw a bigger dog that looked like the puppies!!!..haha!!!....so sorry to the papa dog..anyway..the food there very nice..even though sometimes a bit salty and oily..haha..got one dish..like pork in sauce..and the base soup is like oil la!!...we got quite disgusted with that...anyway..the principal's wife super nice...always give us ice cream...even though we dun really like the ice cream..but i guess that's the only way that they can show their appreciation..cos ice cream to them really is a luxury...

the kids there are super cute too!!..haha...very different from singaporean kids...and it is like they are so eager to please you la...and very open too..and they have super good attitude towards learning...once the bell rings all of them will run back for lessons..really inspired me to stop being late for lectures..haha!!..and they pay such close attention in class lor..even though their classrooms are like super small...i think half the size of our classroom can hold about 20 students la...

anyway..last day there was quite sad..other than the ten-course meal and the papa dog..the handover ceremony was quite funny..cos we all sat in front of all the kids...which looked quite like a ji zhe hui..haha...then all of them performed for us...some of the songs sounded quite like communist...but all of them were so cute la!!!!!....and it is like great to see how much they appreciated our library...haha..they kept saying how nice it looked...sigh..miss them =(...anyway...while waiting for the bus...some of us were playing with the video cam...and we filmed sth funny...since mr lee can't speak mandarin...we filmed him and zhenhao having a short convo in mandarin...and mr lee was just mouthing the words while yuan jun was the one speaking in the background..haha!!..it totally looked like mr lee was the one speaking la!!...after that we were quite sadistic actually...cos sam they all were like crying together with some kids...and the rest of us kept taking pictures of them for momento...and one boy who had always been very naughty (he tried to kick me down when i was standing on a table painting)..he was crying so badly la!!!..yuan jun was saying sth about the toughest guy having the softest heart..haha!!...anyway...quite sad la..to see them running after us as our bus was leaving...sigh..anyway..went to the other school..and then saw a great basketball match!!..haha..the basketball nearly rolled into the toilet..rachael was so zai la!!..haha!!!

anyway..shopping was great..cos i bought so many cds!!..haha!!!...13 cds to be exact..and 2 dvds...a set of postcards..three t shirts..and prezzies for other ppl!..haha...like this ocip trip cos there is like so much freedom..and we can choose where we like to shop...=)...

oh ya...went to this shanghai city school...that looked like a faculty in university la!!..so much bigger than hc or the st andrew's family...cos that school is for primary, secondary and jc level...they have hostel (cos boarding school)...student minimart...hotel...12 outdoor basketball courts and 2 indoor halls for basketball..1 indoor hall for table tennis..1 indoor pool...1 piano centre (for students to learn piano)..then their art floor divided into calligraphy, manga etc etc..and they have a mini stadium like thingy!!!!!!!!!!....but then the school costs 6000 sing a year to study...so ex =(..haha..all the teachers were complaining that they want to transfer..haha!!..and sat in for one of their history lessons..the teacher is super good la..she is very engaging with her students...and the students quite poor thing..cos i saw that under their desks they have already stuffed in lots of books..then on their tables there is another thick pile of books..it is a wonder that not many of them have to wear specs...

sigh..this trip would have been perfect if my handphone wasn't stolen!!...though it is partly my fault...thought it would be safer..cos i was shopping in broad daylight on my second last day in shanghai..so i left it on the side of my bag...in the end i think someone bumped into me..and my phone is gone!!! =(...sigh...all my photos...contacts and messages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...very xin tong lor =(...somemore it is only about one year old....bah!!!

sigh...back to singapore = back to mugging for block test..even though i haven't started mugging..sigh...not in the mood leh...then my mum keep complaining i never study..whole day play and watch tv..sigh..

anyway...i m so dead..my cello exam is on the 24th of july!!!!!!..feel so totally unprepared..somemore i just gave the score to vincent today only..sigh..so dead...and i prac until my fingers hurt a lot when i press the strings on the fingerboard...haiz...no choice..have to prac hard and mug hard now...
