oops..forgot to give acknowledgments for the syf...haha!!

first and foremost..thanks to ttk and guolaoshi...for their superb conducting skills and their valuable advice...especially ttk for specially coming back for our syf and guolaoshi for putting so much effort...
thanks to wang cheng quan lao shi for specially catering to our strengths and weaknesses for tian wen...and even stay back in singapore to pei us until the syf...and even pei us during practices..especially teaching us how to intepret the song etc...
thanks to all the teachers...esp tls and mr lee!!..haha...of course..they are dyb teachers...
thanks to all the seniors who came back specially for our practices and even pon school to pei us for syf...and thanks to those who came to support and bought us food...and also for being our slaves for that day....

anyway...at least two more performances for tian wen and xing kong...so i won't feel so deprived...and looking forward to zhiwei outing and dyb outing!!..

and i screwed up my mep 1st instrument...can foresee that i can do the same thing for 2nd instrument..

WOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......haha...sorry that i kind of mad for this entry..COS DHSCO GOT GOLD WITH HONOURS AND TOP THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

haha...the day before i was super worried lah...especially during mep test...i couldn't do the melody writing at all..cos my mind keeps thinking about how the practice for syf is going on right now..what part are they playing etc etc etc....then after mep test chiong to lt for practice..but they were playing xing kong..so have to wait until before tian wen then went in..then i realised my cello not tuned..so tls dragged me out of lt to tune my cello..in the end i only played 2/3 of the song...so sad...then it is like at night no mood to do homework lah..then thank goodness i m so damn tired from only 5 hours of sleep from the past two nights...so it is like i slept like a dead log once i lay on my bed...

next morning i woke up..first thing in my mind..SYF DAY...omg...i was so damn worried lah...but i woke up late..so couldn't go to school early to practice with lydia, wai kit and vincent..so sad..then when i reach school..super happy when sizhao is back in school!!..haha..even kelvin ho is in a good mood..and he said that with sizhao we are sure to get gold with honours!!..after that ran to parade square for flag raising..then so many ppl wished us good luck and jia you!!...feeling so touched lah...even nice junior geneve gave dyb sec threes and fours specially designed cards...yay!!..geneve rawks!...haha..dyb ppl are always so nice..just like me..heehee..then first lesson in the day was chem...irritating lah..i was full of energy at first lor..but once that shu step into the class..i started to get sleepy...irritating...then next lesson was physics..got quite a fun time playing with magnets..haha!!...then another lesson is english..wah..i was counting down to 9.20...haha..then i can leave class for co...finally it is 9.20..and ppl wishing us jia you again..=)..then we went to co room..had meeting after hearing vincent luo say his pimple cream joke..haha!!...then went for dazu..but since guolaoshi not there yet..we switch off most of the lights in lt..and everyone started sleeping...then guolaoshi came and we got practice a bit...then a lot of seniors..esp vjc seniors...came back...and they bought so much food for us!!...then teachers started coming in and wang cheng quan also!!...haha..really must thank him a lot lor...for composing this song for us...and some more staying back in singapore to help us with the competition =)..then after that is lunch time...poor dorea busy distributing the food bought by the seniors..so she didn't eat..after changing..went to help to ban instruments etc...then got myself stinky..so me and wenhui were like cooling down under the aircon...wah...truly love the co room's air con...which always save me when i need it...haha..then off we go to sch!..was kind of sleeping in the bus..cos quite tired..then when we reach there...we didn't quite have a sense of urgency..so didn't a bit of shouting here and there to get everyone ready..then after that the dyb girls had to wear black socks..cos i think according to johnathan...we dun look good with pants and stockings...so in the end quite uncomfortable...

anyway..we were waiting at the lobby for our turn to go to the second level..then there is this irritating teacher..from outram i guess...who is so bitchy...so what if we are standing near her school...unless all her students have big fat asses...by the time we leave i bet her students are not even back down in the lobby...anyway...after that went to the tuning room..wah..was quite pissed off with tls' selfishness..it is like we only got 15 minutes in the tuning room..and we have to tune and practise parts of our syf songs..then tls was helping sec 4 cellos tune whereas mingjie was helping sec 3 cellists...then basses haven't tune yet..then after helping sec4s tune..mingjie told her the sec 3s tune liao..she still go and tune for them..she should just go straight to the basses lah...then after that we still have to play string by string together for her to listen..please lah..the whole orchestra waiting for us to start lah...and there you are wasting everybody's time..then later when we were outside she even wanted to listen to each of us when the dizis are already starting to go in..haha...so me and lydia kind of dao her..and just went straight into the concert hall...feeling quite bad now..but really leh...i think tls is quite nice sometimes..but sometimes she is just too selfish for her section...

anyway..when i went in...i can't believe that i m actually already in the concert hall liao!!...then my mind kept thinking about the seniors and teachers' words...this is not a competition...this is a chance to let dhsco exhibit our ability and scare the rest so that they will never ever dare to outrightly say want to compete with us..haha...quite dumb right??..anyway..xing kong was the best that we had ever perform...really that was the time when i really have lots of gan jue for it...haha..guolaoshi was giving us like thumb-ups sign after the xing kong...but in the middle i thought the dizi were going to go haywire for their hou ban pai..then was like super worried..then kept thinking please dizis not this time..you all must do it!!..that kind of thing..haha..in the end almost forgot that i have to come in...then as for tian wen..wah..i bet johnathan scared the whole concert hall with his first beat....it was super seh lor...then really in the front part you can hear the whole dhsco being so united and qi...haha!!..that is the dhsco spirit!!!!!!!!!...anyway...tian wen wasn't very good...i think one of the djy people dropped his mallet when the whole orchestra is supposed to be silent..then at the end siwei's cymbals came too late..so spoilt the whole ending..then i love the basses' first pizz for the man ban!..haha..they were so qi lah...plus you can hear the resonance of the note ringing throughout the concert hall...then when sze hua was playing the guzheng solo..i was going to cry liao..cos this may be the last time the sec 4s are going to play as dhsco...then when it is the cellos turn to come in...dunno why my bow is kind of trembling...so the sound come out also weird weird...haha...then for the hua yin...didn't think it was nice..for cellos lah...cos not must gan jue..but got some hua yins are nice...then wilson said that we are very solid...haha...so i m satisfied with that liao..at least didn't get frustrated and practice the hua yin so many times for nothing...after that we left the concert hall then saw some kc ppl...haha...

after that was trying to find the co tees..cos a lot of seniors took it without returning lah...then i was quite pissed..then dunno why suddenly got one senior took my paper and pen and four co tees away from me..and want me to go and help take tickets for them to enter sch..cos performers can go and watch..then i went...rgs was about to go in..and since they are under the same teachers as us..we were like saying jia you to them...haha...then went in and saw wang mama sitting down there..also say jia you to her..then rgs not bad...just that the intepretation for xing kong is weird...and the lin an sui xiang the xyz is quite strong...not bad actually..then after rgs we were wondering should we leave the concert hall..but in the end the whole dhsco flood in..haha..so we just stay put..then see one of our strong competitors...zhonghua sec...wah cannot stand them leh!!...their costumes is so disgusting...dunno who design..then the xuyiping's costumes also doesn't blend with the orchestra..then when their xing kong started...i almost fainted...first time i hear the xing kong so lethargic..and their dizis also screwed up the hou ban pai..then after that is the long-awaited sha di er chuan qi...wah..the song is nice...but the dyb not strong enough...if it is dhsco who played that..it will be so seh..and the dizi also very zhun..but the problem is it is so obvious that they everything is lian out one..not that they have the ability...then the xuyiping keeps doing mouth exercises...then after zhonghua sec we had to leave..then i still cannot find the senior who took the co tee..so i m damn pissed now...

anyway when we reached school...saw se at the foyer..then after that we went to lt to wait for results..wah everyone were so worried lah...even though our xing kong a lot of people said it was nice..even ding xiao yan..but cos of tian wen everyone were very scared..plus zhong hua the sha di er chuan qi is quite good...so everyone were like quite quiet in the lt..then vincent tried to tell jokes to lighten up the atmosphere..then mdm ilyana kelvin and ying chun were like standing in front of the whole tuan..waiting for the phone calls from the seniors who were waiting for the results at sch...then it is like lots of false alarms lah..haha..cos the judges kept talking crap...vincent was even kneeling down on the floor waiting for the results..haha..damn funny..then zhuang yuan was on the phone too..then she gave a scream...then everyone could guess something liao..then suddenly kelvin ho ran in and and shouted "gold with honours!!!!!!!!!!!!"...wah...the whole co went mad...haha..all the girls were screaming and crying..then the guys were like shouting and jumping lah...haha..we all totally went mad...started hugging each other and everything...then after that when kelvin ho announced that zhonghua got only gold...we went even madder!!!...haha...cos of the fact that zhonghua practised a song for four years to beat our song that is only practiced for like about four months...then when it is announced that we are top three..we totally went crazy!!!..haha!!!..then when we were outside the lt screaming...kelvin said that "this is not the way...you should do this!" and he started to do the soccer match cheer and ran towards the spiral staircase...haha!!!!!!!...then the whole co was like screaming from the lt to the spiral staircase then to the bookshop then to co room...haha...me dorea and faye went mad in front of the lt...then me and faye were like holding each other's hands..then dorea in between...then we started going in circles..and poor dorea was pulled along with us!!...haha...then everyone just started making noise and everything...i think the people from the canteen would be thinking that we are mad...haha!!!!!!!!...according to karmun..she said that we were so loud..that even se on the third level can hear us!!..haha!!!..wah..i almost wanted to cry lor...and dorea is worse...kept crying and crying!!..haha!!

after that the whole dyb and weeting and sze hua went to raffles city..haha..went to burger king first cos our dyb juniors have to go for concert soon..then the sec 4s just sat on another table and talked...then saw a lot of seniors there too!!...haha...yinghao is also nice enough to treat seven of us french fries!!..haha!!..he even told us his old blazer's number..so zhiying should feel honoured!!...haha..then after that the sec 4s all went to cafe cartel to eat...haha..was gossiping and talking...but so sad that time the night sky dun have stars..or else we may most likely just starting singing xing kong..haha!!!...

that is the end of my syf day...22nd april 2005...a day that i will almost remember...and after reading dorea's blog..i agree with her for one thing..when we first got tian wen and xing kong's score..we really didn't like it at all...but gradually we came to realise the goodness of these two songs..and understand that most important thing is not the notes..but the music...haha...sound like ttk's 'yin yue' theory...

anyway...really miss dhsco..at least interview starting soon..and we get to perform at esplanade on 7th july!!..woohoo!!..haha..how many co can get the chance to perform at esplanade!!...and must show to the public we are unofficially still the top co..even though there is top three only for syf..haha!!...

haiz...feeling quite depressed and worried these few days...as everyone noes..it is syf....plus just read dorea's entry about syf...

siighz....i m damn worried..it is like....syf is only six more days away..and i think we are not prepared at all lor...plus band got gold with honours plus top three...really gives us more pressure to get at least top three...though we are supposed to get at least top...then zhonghua sec and rv is like lai shi xiong xiong...like want to compete with dyb esp like that...then i dun even think that dyb is even up to standard to compete lor....haiz...

co reputation is really constantly weighing upon my mind...although ttk and guolaoshi they all say that winning is not importantly...but if we come to reality...we have to win...just like what jiayin said...if we dun win...the school will still give us money meh??..plus all our seniors' hard work lah....how much time and efforts have they put in to maintain 3 consecutive top co in singapore...plus yesterday jiayin showed us the 1999 syf batch's hua mulan and tian shang sheng hui..and really i felt like crying then lah...they were so super good...and really through only a vcd they are already able to gan dong us....if it is live..it must be so shocking...and they are really able to focus into the song and totally engross themselves...why can't we??...why is it that some people just dun care?...

the seniors also putting much hope on us...and they are really supporting us a lot lor...plus our conductors too...although ttk not in singapore for quite a long time..but he also specially comes back to see how are we...and his mind constantly thinking about co back in singapore...and guolaoshi also lah..can see that he is putting his effort...plus all our teachers and esp the cute wang cheng quan lao shi!!..haha...i mean all our teachers are putting in lots of efforts to improve us...but somehow we dun seem to appreciate it...

and really...it is like...i think our dear juniors should realise the importance of syf and start working harder..though not to push themselves to far for some...and really they should know their own standard too...ask themselves truthfully...are they even fit to be in syf?...i m sure that no one likes to know that they are in syf just because there is a lack of players for that instrument...and really...ppl have been practising for one year or even more..and we only got four months?...wth...irritating..so we should put in even more effort to catch up with other ppl lah...

really hope that we can do well on friday...but i think i m going to cry with dorea on friday...whether the results is good or bad...cos it is like i will be so she bu de co...will miss all my good times in co..siighz...really hope that i m sec one again..still got four years more in co...but on the other hand even if i m sec one i may not necessary cherish the good times..but at least i m happy enough to be able to enjoy four years of fun in co...haha...will would miss it...like once you leave dhsco i dun think i can be able to find any other co like dhsco...hopefully in future i can go back more often...and hopefully see co getting better and better..but i m sure to miss all the co friends who i m with for the four years...cos it is really impossible for eighty of us to be playing once again on the same stage...haiz..

really cannot study now leh..got a whole lot of homework and tests coming up..but i still dun have heart to study..envy the band ppl a lot...cos after syf they still got brisbane trip to enjoy..but for co after syf nothing else liao...other than committee stuff...looking forward to the interviews..but not the end of dhsco for me...that's why recently my whole mind thinking about co...and remembering my past few years in co..siighz...but then must work harder..esp for o levels..then can bring pride to co and dyb..and let ttk be proud of us!!...haha...and of course..dyb is a gao deng yue zu..the members sure smart one..like me!..heehee!
